About the Event
The Juneteenth Sneaker Ball is more than just a celebration—it’s a statement of pride, unity, and progress. Step into an evening of dinner, dancing, entertainment, and cultural appreciation as we honor the legacy of Juneteenth and uplift our community.
Dress to impress in dressy African-inspired attire paired with your most fashionable sneakers! While this attire is preferred to honor the spirit of the occasion, it is not required to attend. Come as you are ready to celebrate in style!
This signature event supports the Orange County (CA) Alumnae Chapter’s mission and programs, helping us to uplift and empower our local communities through education, advocacy, and outreach.

Why Juneteenth?
Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, the day enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, learned they were free—two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation. It’s a powerful reminder of resilience, unity, and the ongoing fight for justice and equality.
